AlfaNum team participated at the event "2015 RIGA META-FORUM 2015 – Technologies for the Multilingual Digital Single Market" in Latvia. META-FORUM 2015 discussed the current European Language Technology research landscape including currently running research and innovation actions as well as future funding opportunities in Horizon 2020 and related programmes.

AlfaNum project was presented at the round table discussion "Development and application of speech technologies" within scientific conference DOGS and SPECOM, which were collocated in Novi Sad from 5th to 9th October, gathering over 100 participants from all over the world.

The School "Dr Milan Petrović" for children with special needs, has obtained the AlfaNum audio library, which will enable more than 1000 pupils to improve their knowledge. The donation of this aid was organized by the organization of citizens for cerebral paralysis and polio "Sun", with financial support form "NIS - Gaspromnjeft".

AlfaNum team presented the most recent version of the speech synthesizer for Croatian at the MeetUP event, organized by the company "Radilica" and Contact Center Academy in Zagreb.

18.03.2014. General agreement on business and technical cooperation between AlfaNum and the University of Eastern Sarajevo signed.
27.03.2014. AlfaNum team met the representatives of the Serbian National Library, and its Centre for the visually impaired, equipped with AlfaNum software for the visually impaired anReader. Directions of future cooperation in the field of development of a digital library and micropgraphy were established.

The Swiss National Foundation has approved funding for the project "SP2: SCOPES Project on Speech Prosody", coordinated by the IDIAP Institute in Martigny (Switzerland). The remaining participants include the Faculty of Technical Sciences in Novi Sad, the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technologies in Skopje (Macedonia), and the Technological University in Budapest (Hungary)

"AlfaNum Speech Tech Event 2013" was held in Sava Centre in Belgrade. New technologies and applications were presented before the representatives of companies and other institutions such as Telekom, SBB, VMA, OFPS and Commercial Bank.

The Innovation Fund, through the Matching grants programme, has approved financing for the project "World-Class Speech Technologies for South Slavic Languages" of the AlfaNum company, together with 17 other projects out of 125 submitted applications.

A new version of speech synthesis for Serbian, based on hidden Markov models (HMM) was launched. As opposed to concatenative synthesis, HMM-based synthesis is far more flexible and more convenient for devices with less powerful hardware.

AlfaNum project presented at the international event Day of Language Technologies, organized by the Mathematical Faculty of Belgrade and the Institute "Mihailo Pupin", under the auspices of META-NET, the Network of Excellence forging the

The Innovation Fund, through the Mini-grants programme, has approved financing for a project of the company "Axon - Intelligent Systems", related to the development of a voice dialogue system for mobile phones in Serbian, in cooperation with the AlfaNum company.

Owing to new speech technologies, it is accessible to the visually impaired over the Internet and telephone, providing them information as well as contents related to entertainment.
